– Annual General meeting –
The AGM of the federal association took place on November 30th in Göttingen, both in person and online. Despite initial connection problems, it was a productive meeting. Working groups and the Executive Council discussed future strategies. New doctoral representatives were confirmed, increasing representation to almost half of all German doctoral students. A new Executive Board was elected, with Benita Schmitz and Luisa Weyers in the lead. The position of treasurer is still vacant.
With the admission of the new members, we have passed an important milestone: We now represent over 50% of all doctoral students with a local doctoral council.

– Autumn meeting of PhDs with scholarship –
Our scholarship working group arranged a meeting with PromoStip at the Heinrich Böll Foundation in Berlin, which was a hybrid event held in German. The Promovierendeninitiative (PI) is made up of representatives from the 13 largest German scholarship foundations, who work in different groups and advise the BMBF through a working group. At the meeting, scholarship conditions were discussed and, although no direct cooperation was agreed, both groups agreed to keep each other informed.
